Reefer containers

A reefer container, also known as a refrigerated container, is an insulated shipping container equipped with an integrated cooling unit. This allows goods to be stored and transported at a constant, pre-set temperature, ideal for temperature-sensitive products.

Reefer containers are widely used for the storage and transportation of food products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and other temperature-sensitive cargo. This makes them suitable for a variety of applications, such as events or for transport by road, rail, or sea.

At CTL-ICS, we offer reefer containers in various sizes, including 10ft, 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft. Many models are also available in High Cube versions, offering 30 cm of extra internal height. You can choose from trusted cooling systems such as Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin, and Starcool. In addition, we offer a wide range of modifications and extra options to fully customize your container to your needs.

CTL-ICS B.V. maintains a large inventory of reefer containers, available directly from our own depots in Rotterdam and Antwerp (Arctic Depot). All our refrigerated containers are delivered with a valid CSC certificate, ACEP registration, and a recent PTI inspection. What is a PTI?

PTI stands for Pre-Trip Inspection. This is a thorough technical check in which the refrigeration system of a reefer container is tested for functionality and reliability. During a PTI, components such as the temperature control system, sensors, fans, and electrical parts are carefully inspected.

A new PTI is performed on every reefer container we offer before delivery, ensuring that you receive a fully operational and ready-to-use refrigerated container.

What is a CSC certificate?

CSC stands for Container Safety Convention. This is an international safety standard that determines whether a container is suitable for transport, especially for use at sea. During a CSC inspection, the container’s structure is checked for strength, watertightness, door function, and overall safety.

All reefer containers we offer come with a valid CSC certificate, ensuring they can be safely used for transport by road, rail, and sea in compliance with international regulations.
